I haven't posted anything in forever. I write in my journal mostly. Let's see.. I had a lump on my chest and I had to get a biopsy. Found out it was a cyst but it's benign. So I'm cancer free, for now. I'm contracting a lot more these days. They don't hurt they're just tightening my tummy. Ava is getting huge. Last ultrasound at 26 weeks she weighed 1 pound 8 ounces. I actually have a baby bump. :}
Random news! I got the Motorola Droid early! My mom said it's still a Christmas present but that's totally okay! I lub it!
I'm watching Trading Spouses and this lady is crazy. I hate when people aren't open to other people's beliefs and opinions, but they are totally ready to yell at you for not believing in what they believe in. Irritates me.
I'll update more. Hahaha. Nothing has really happened lately. Family has visited me lots! Woo! And now I have my own room so I can have slumber parties<33

25 weeks 5 days
Yesterday I started bleeding again. When I was on the monitor I was contracting and stuff but it wasn't labor contracting. Hard to explain. Almost 26 weeks and couldn't be more excited! Ava wakes me up in the mornings now and it's pretty entertaining. :)

24 weeks and 2 days
The shots weren't bad at all. They just made my butt really tender! The consistency of the solution was really thick so I could feel it sitting there before it absorbs. They also started putting me on the monitor and since Ava is still really little, she doesn't stay in one spot. She has to beat up the monitor thing on my stomach and swim away. Then eventually she tires herself out and we can get a heartbeat for a good 20 minutes. The nurse said her heart and movements are strong like a 32 weeker. The only thing I thought of was getting beat up everyday! Hopefully today she stays on the monitor for a good amount of time. And I have a feeling she won't be wanting to come out of her tummy home till she is 40 weeks. Wouldn't that be amazing!?

Yeahhhhhh
I'm sitting here and it's almost midnight. I can't sleep. I could get a sleeping pill but they make me sleep forever. Sleeping in a hospital is kind of scary. My mind likes to play tricks on me. Earlier i thought i smelt fire, and 10 minutes later the fire alarms went off. Anyways, in about 15 minutes I'll be 24 weeks. Hopefully they'll start my steroid shots first thing in the morning. Supposedly they are going to burn, but I would rather have those then an IV anyday. I say that now right? Watch it hurt super bad.. yuck.
Lately, Ava has been getting a personality. Funny how you can tell when she isn't even born yet. When she hears anyone in my family's voice or hears dogs bark, she kicks and squirms. Then of course I have to poke back. When I take a shower, I have to clean out my belly button because the gel they use to listen to her heartbeat dries up in there, she kicks my hand. If the water in the shower is too cold or a little too warm she'll totally shift her body to where she can't feel it. After people leave she kicks. I guess I'm not completely alone. Ava interacts with punches and kicks. Keith told her she can have whatever she wants if she can hang out in my tummy for at least 6 weeks. Spoiled already... oh great!
That's all the news for now. Just staying positive. Getting anxious for the shots. I'll update again tomorrow.

Hospital
I'm 23 weeks and 2 days. 5 days to go till I get my steroid shots and help Ava's lungs develope. I have a roommate who is really funny and cool. We watch Jerry Springer, A&E, Maury and whatever else can keep our attention. The only thing I miss is taking a shower in my own shower. The nurse came in and had to flush out my IV, and when she did I could taste it. Pretty gross, but that's the fun part about being pregnant. Get to smell, taste and be sensitive all at the same time!

A lot's on my mind...
Sometimes I wish I had some money to buy a house now that they're so cheap. It would be a huge responsibility but I've always wanted to be able and have my own space. With my own decorating and my own backyard to have family get together's at.
I wish I could find a school to go to for my career. Most of them are all out of state or they are on the other side of the city. Maybe the drive won't be so bad.
In about 2 weeks or so I'll be back in the hospital. Maybe it's a good thing for me mentally. It's a countdown till I get to finally hold Ava who is the toughest little girl I know. Sometimes I wonder why me? Why did I have to go through all this? Why do I have to have all the complications when other people who could careless about their kids have so many? I would kill to be able to hold Trey alive and see him smile. Watch as he can grow with Ava and learn the things she's going to learn. I believe in things happen for a reason, but I still haven't figured out the reason.

Ava Ava Ava
This morning didn't start off too well. My prenatal vitamins made me sick and I couldn't move. When my mom got home from the store, I ate Cheez-it's and an apple. Then, Ava started going crazy and she told me she wants mexican food ;) Ha!
I honestly think I have the cutest dogs ever. They're super photogenic. (Once I figure out how to upload the pics there will be some!) Sometimes when the dogs bark, Ava jumps and moves around then goes back to sleep. Just wait till she gets her revenge! The dogs are in for a rude awakening >:)
I think Monique is coming over today! Haven't seen her in forever! So much to fill her in on, I can't wait!

October 4th-Present
October 4th was one of the most horrible days in my life. I lost one of my twin babies because of my incompetent cervix. I was then transferred to St. Joseph's Hospital to save the other one. I was put into the high risk pregnancy unit. Later on that day, at 19 weeks, I was given the opportunity to have a cervical cerclage put in. Treatment for cervical incompetence is a surgical procedure called cervical cerclage, in which the cervix is sewn closed during pregnancy.
Now I am 22 weeks and found out that Keith and I are having a baby girl, Ava Marie. Once I reach 24 weeks, I'll be admitted back into the hospital and start receiving steroid shots so Ava's brain and lungs can develope better. I'll stay in the hospital till she is born and I couldn't be more excited to meet her!
